Software Developer – SaaS Platform (JavaScript/Node.js)

About the role

Join Descartes' Finale team of 14 engineers delivering SaaS solutions for ecommerce sellers. Work in a distributed environment with continuous deployment, using JavaScript (Node.js, React), MySQL, and AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship features that improve our SaaS platform for ecommerce sellers.
• Debug and resolve technical issues across the stack.
• Collaborate with engineers across time zones to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain a strong culture of testing and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction.
• Communicate clearly and transparently with colleagues and customers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of software fundamentals.
• Experience shipping code to production in a SaaS environment.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (JavaScript/MySQL).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, distributed team.
• Comfortable learning new technologies as needed.
