Senior Payroll Specialist - EMEA

About the role

Join Johnson Controls as a Senior Payroll Specialist for the EMEA region, handling payroll for multiple entities from our Bratislava office. You will ensure accurate, timely payroll processing while collaborating with internal teams and an external payroll provider.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll for assigned entities, adhering to local requirements and the payroll calendar.
• Collect, review and input payroll changes such as overtime, bonuses, allowances and absences.
• Prepare and submit payroll input files to the external provider and follow up on queries.
• Partner with HR, Finance and local stakeholders to resolve payroll questions, support audits and maintain documentation.
• Maintain employee lifecycle data (hires, terminations, transfers) and apply deductions/benefits in line with legislation.
• Perform payroll checks and controls, investigate variances and ensure issues are resolved before sign‑off.
• Support process improvements and participate in payroll‑related projects and audits.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of experience in payroll administration or processing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet monthly payroll deadlines.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience in an international or multicultural environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivots, formulas).
