Senior Java Developer - Financial Technology Platform

About the role

Capco, a management consulting and software development firm working with international banks and insurance companies, is hiring a Senior Java Developer in Bratislava. You will help build a large-scale financial technology platform that supports the processing and settlement of international securities transactions, working on a business-critical application used across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance robust, high-performance applications using Java and modern backend technologies.
• Contribute to a global financial platform covering securities trading, transaction processing, settlement and reporting.
• Build and integrate REST APIs, improve existing functionality and solve complex technical challenges.
• Collaborate with developers, architects and business teams, sharing knowledge and keeping coding standards high.
• Take part in the full development lifecycle, from solution design and automated testing to deployment, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, Spring and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Good SQL skills and experience with relational databases, ideally MS SQL Server or Sybase.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing and Agile development.
• React experience is a significant advantage.
