Senior Costing Analyst

About the role

Adient, a global leader in automotive seating, is seeking a Senior Costing Analyst to join its team in Bratislava. The role involves developing product cost models, supporting purchasing negotiations, and contributing to financial analysis for new and existing business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop product cost components including material usage, labor, equipment, cycle times, tooling and capital requirements.
• Review complex bills of materials and manufacturing assumptions for reasonableness.
• Create risk/opportunity summaries for each quote and develop pro‑forma cost models for new facilities.
• Refine benchmark cost models to support the Purchasing team and set targets for purchased items.
• Support regional and corporate initiatives, bridge financial data, and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Finance, Business, Engineering or related field.
• 3‑4 years experience in costing, financial analysis, plant controlling or process engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Fluency in English and good interpersonal/teamwork skills.
• Occasional travel as required.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
