IT Cloud Engineer – Cloud & Connectivity

About the role

Join Kanadevia Inova’s Cloud & Connectivity team as an IT Cloud Engineer. You will design, build, and operate an Azure‑based hosting platform while ensuring secure, reliable connectivity for our global waste‑to‑value operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise Azure‑first cloud architecture and support hybrid environments during the private‑cloud‑to‑Azure migration.
• Drive workload migration across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS models, using Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
• Integrate Azure networking (VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN) with on‑premise networks and coordinate with external ISPs on SLA compliance.
• Operate identity and access management with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, applying Zero Trust security principles.
• Maintain SQL Server and Azure SQL environments, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery and cost optimisation.
• Contribute to cloud architecture standards, governance guardrails and performance monitoring.
• Share knowledge with junior engineers, document architectures and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of enterprise infrastructure and cloud engineering experience, with hands‑on Azure hosting and hybrid migration.
• Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate certification (or equivalent).
