Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support the OpenTool platform used for telecom network testing, validation, performance monitoring, and analytics. The role involves managing physical and virtual infrastructure, servers, storage, networking, and test lab environments for LTE, 5G, VoLTE, IMS and Open RAN validation.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain server, storage and networking hardware across bare‑metal, virtualised and cloud environments.
• Build and maintain network testbeds for LTE, 5G NSA/SA, VoWiFi, VoLTE and IMS validation, including devices, probes, switches and firewalls.
• Administer enterprise Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows servers; manage VMware vSphere/ESXi and Hyper‑V clusters.
• Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, site‑to‑site VPNs and firewall policies.
• Provision, optimise and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Manage SAN/NAS storage arrays, monitor performance and enforce disaster‑recovery and backup policies.
• Implement monitoring and alerting frameworks (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, ELK) and conduct root‑cause analysis for incidents.

Required profile

• Advanced experience with Linux and Windows server administration.
• Hands‑on expertise in VMware ESXi/vSphere and Hyper‑V virtualization.
• Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise storage solutions.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, Electronics or related field.
