Electrical Engineer – Hardware Design (On‑site)

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer specialized in hardware design to join our product development team. The role covers the full development lifecycle, from defining specifications and creating schematics to delivering production‑ready PCB layouts and supporting prototype testing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for new products, from concept through production release.
• Develop detailed schematics and PCB layouts, ensuring proper trace routing, grounding, and manufacturability.
• Perform bench testing, validation, and troubleshooting of prototypes and production hardware.
• Upgrade controller platforms to meet current Cybersecurity (CRA) requirements.
• Apply international engineering and environmental standards throughout the design process.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Document designs using ECAD and mechanical CAD tools such as Altium Designer and NX.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reliability, and design efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing schematics and printed circuit boards.
• Strong foundation in advanced mathematics (algebra, calculus, probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry).
• Ability to work on‑site and commute daily to the Povazska Bystrica location.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ECAD tools, especially Altium Designer.
• Experience using mechanical CAD tools such as Siemens NX.
• PCB layout and schematic design expertise.
• Hands‑on use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, RF equipment, and data acquisition systems.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements for hardware platforms.
