Category Manager – Indirect Procurement (Facility Management)

About the role

The European Category Manager – Indirect Procurement will define and execute the sourcing strategy for indirect spend across Europe, focusing on facility management, transportation and related services. Working closely with regional teams and the European operational excellence function, the role drives value, optimises the supplier base and ensures robust category governance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for OpEx and CapEx categories, aligning with business priorities.
• Lead multi‑category sourcing projects, including facility management, transportation, warehousing equipment and related services.
• Build and nurture a European procurement community, engaging stakeholders across regions and functions.
• Establish governance processes for supplier selection, tendering and contract management.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Analyse spend data and market trends to identify savings opportunities and support category planning.
• Monitor compliance with approved frameworks and address off‑contract spend.

Required profile

• University degree in business, finance, engineering or a related field; postgraduate qualification in supply‑chain management is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement or operations experience, with proven indirect sourcing at a European level (facility management and/or transportation).
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of the FM/transport market, including key suppliers and trends.
• Resilient, pragmatic and able to work with urgency in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
