Technical Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Architect to shape the way technology is built, governed, and evolved across our engineering department. You will work at the intersection of strategy and engineering, turning complexity into clear, actionable direction and helping teams deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern architectural standards for the Group Functions Shared Engineering portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance.
• Conduct architectural reviews and design assessments, providing clear guidance at critical stages of the software delivery lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain reusable architectural patterns, reference architectures, and blueprints to accelerate delivery and promote consistency.
• Drive SDLC and QA maturity by establishing engineering guardrails, tracking compliance, and supporting best‑practice adoption.
• Monitor and report on architectural health, providing visibility into technical debt, risk, and improvement opportunities through metrics and dashboards.
• Act as a trusted advisor and coach, delivering hands‑on guidance, workshops, and collaborative design sessions.
• Champion continuous improvement by identifying systemic issues and leading initiatives that raise engineering quality.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure architectural decisions are well‑informed, communicated, and aligned with business goals.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead the strategic adoption of AI‑assisted development tools, ensuring responsible and effective use.

Required profile

• Proven ability to define and enforce architectural standards across large engineering portfolios.
• Experience delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable technology solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills with senior engineering leads, product owners, and enterprise architects.
• Ability to translate strategic vision into concrete technical guidance and actionable plans.
