DevOps Engineer – Cloud & CI/CD for Payment Solution

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support, scale and secure our newly launched payment solution built from scratch on cloud infrastructure. You will work with a cross‑functional agile team, focusing on GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Terraform‑based AWS provisioning and containerised micro‑services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure GitLab CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform, covering services such as IAM, Cognito, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route53, API Gateway, MSK, ALB and VPN.
• Operate and monitor containerised micro‑services to ensure high availability and performance.
• Provide on‑duty support and ensure reliability of the payment platform.
• Embed security and compliance controls in line with fintech standards.
• Collaborate with fellow DevOps engineers and agile teams, using Jira and Confluence for documentation.

Required profile

• 3+ years of DevOps experience with solid DevSecOps knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience building and securing CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python (Python preferred).
• Experience working in agile environments, preferably in banking or fintech.
• Advanced English (C1) and excellent Czech or Slovak language skills.
