Strategic Sourcing Manager – Early Discovery Services

About the role

IQVIA is looking for a Manager, Strategic Sourcing to lead procurement activities for its Early Phase Discovery Services across Europe. The role will partner with scientific, laboratory and operational teams to ensure supply continuity and value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for laboratory consumables, scientific instrumentation, animal models, vivarium operations, outsourced research services and logistics.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing projects, defining plans, budgets, milestones and success metrics.
• Analyse spend data from ERP systems, build category baselines and market intelligence to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Conduct RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, manage supplier selection, commercial negotiations and contract execution.
• Act as a trusted procurement partner to Scientific Operations, Laboratory Management, Animal Resources, Quality, Finance and Legal teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within early discovery, pre‑clinical or laboratory environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Project leadership skills with a track record of delivering sourcing initiatives on time and within budget.
