Supply Chain Backlog Management Specialist

About the role

The Supply Chain Backlog Management Specialist will act as the primary liaison between Customer Experience & Operations and Supply Chain teams, ensuring critical customer orders are supported and escalated appropriately. This hybrid role requires working on average two days per week from an HPE office in Slovakia.

Key responsibilities

• Own proactive and reactive order backlog management to drive smooth fulfillment and revenue achievement.
• Monitor order status from validation through shipment and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Lead regional stakeholder meetings to align on order information and resolve challenges.
• Partner with manufacturing sites and logistics to expedite priority orders and remove blockers.
• Support strategic accounts with a customer‑centric approach while maintaining operational excellence.
• Analyze backlog trends, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• First‑level university degree (advanced degree optional) with 4‑6 years of supply chain or order management experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and data‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Available‑to‑Promise (ATP) concepts.
