Staff Software Engineer - Node.JS

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable backend systems for our global portfolio of products. In this senior technical role you will shape engineering standards, architecture, and best practices across multiple domains while working closely with product and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical decisions for major platform capabilities and translate business needs into practical roadmaps.
• Define scalable domain boundaries and service architectures as a domain expert.
• Design, build, and evolve backend capabilities and APIs across multiple systems.
• Own end‑to‑end product features, ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Drive engineering best practices through hands‑on coding, mentorship, and technical leadership.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Promote modern practices such as Domain‑Driven Design, SOLID, GRASP, and API‑first architecture.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large‑scale, customer‑facing software products.
• Strong expertise in backend services, distributed systems, and application/data integration.
• Hands‑on experience applying Domain‑Driven Design and API‑first principles in multi‑tenant platforms.
• Full‑stack engineering background with deep knowledge of software design patterns.
• Ability to translate product requirements into scalable technical designs and roadmaps.
• Ownership mindset with a track record of driving projects end‑to‑end.
