Software Developer – Event‑Driven Network Services (Hybrid)

About the role

As a Software Developer you will help shape the next generation of air‑ground communications for a leading aviation technology provider. You will work on evolving a proof‑of‑concept into reliable, secure, and maintainable product software while collaborating with international aviation partners.

Key responsibilities

• Evolve the existing proof of concept into production‑grade software.
• Design and implement event‑driven network services, protocol handlers and state‑machine logic.
• Translate RFCs and aviation/networking specifications into traceable code and automated tests.
• Integrate software with network devices using IPv4/IPv6, UDP/TCP, NETCONF, SNMP, SSH and gRPC.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, packaging and documentation.
• Diagnose complex issues in Linux and containerised environments.
• Collaborate with testers, system engineers and international partners.

Required profile

• At least three years of professional software‑development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python or a comparable high‑level language.
• Experience with event‑driven, asynchronous or concurrent programming.
• Solid networking knowledge (IPv4/IPv6, TCP, UDP, routing) and ability to use tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Practical Linux experience, including package installation, virtual machines, networking and troubleshooting.
