Senior Full Stack Engineer (Strong Frontend Expertise)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong frontend expertise to join our cloud‑native software house inside Swiss Re. You will help design and build scalable SaaS/PaaS solutions for Life & Health insurance clients, working closely with product owners, architects and other engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑quality front‑end applications using React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Build secure, reliable, high‑performance back‑end services and integrate them via well‑designed APIs.
• Participate in architecture workshops, code reviews and SDLC activities in an Agile environment.
• Prototype new technologies and create proofs of concept.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience with JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript and React (hooks, functional components, modern patterns).
• Proven ability to deliver responsive UI using MUI, CSS‑Modules, Tailwind CSS, PostCSS or Sass/Less.
• Solid understanding of state management (Redux Toolkit, Context API, TanStack Query) and routing (React Router/TanStack Router).
• Commitment to web accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and performance optimisation.
• Experience with automated testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright).
