About the role

We are looking for a motivated PHP Software Engineer to join our team building highly secure, high‑traffic web applications. You will work on ESET’s global websites, CMS, award platform and security blog, using modern AI‑assisted development tools.

Key responsibilities

Develop new features for ESET’s global web properties, including the main website, CMS, award platform and security blog.
Collaborate in Scrum teams: daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives and code reviews.
Write clean, testable PHP code following OOP, SOLID and design‑pattern best practices.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third‑party services.
Optimize database queries and overall application performance.
Participate in architecture discussions and suggest improvements.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Professional proficiency in English (minimum B2).
Experience with PHP 8.x and modern frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles and design patterns.

Basic salary of 3000 EUR per month (gross) with performance bonus up to 10% twice a year.
