MS Server and Operations Specialist

About the role

Erste Digital is looking for an experienced MS Server and Operations Specialist to design, operate and optimise the Microsoft server landscape that supports 22,000 bank users. You will ensure the workplace systems run efficiently, securely and are ready for future modernisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the workplace infrastructure for the bank’s digital environment.
• Gradually assume operational responsibility for the Microsoft server landscape.
• Coordinate external providers and partners to guarantee stable, secure operations across Austria.
• Align with Security, Network and Backend teams to ensure seamless workplace operations.
• Contribute actively to infrastructure modernisation and future‑proofing.
• Optimise operations and maintain compatibility of system architecture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Windows system and network development.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft environments supporting >2,000 devices.
• Strong background in designing, modernising and implementing Microsoft infrastructure.
• Fluent in German and English (minimum B2 level).
• Willingness to work onsite in Bratislava or Vienna with up to 40% remote work.
