Linux System Engineer for RDT solutions

About the role

We are looking for a System Engineer to design, deploy and maintain secure, high‑availability Linux‑based systems that support our Remote Digital Tower (RDT) infrastructure, enabling reliable air‑traffic‑management operations.

Key responsibilities

• Installing and integrating Linux‑based systems and components into existing environments.
• Assisting customers with technical queries, configuration and service of the remote digital tower infrastructure.
• Documenting and analysing incidents, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing remedies.
• Designing, planning and executing changes or extensions to the systems, coordinating with product development teams.
• Conducting site acceptance tests with customers.

Required profile

• Strong professional communication skills, able to handle critical situations under time pressure.
• Self‑driven, flexible, goal‑oriented and able to work within corporate processes.
• Willingness to travel weekly to Vienna and internationally (~25% of the time).
• Secondary school leaving certificate; university degree in IT or Telecommunications (Bachelor or Master).

Required skills

• Installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux servers (RHEL).
• Bash scripting for automation.
• Virtualisation platforms, preferably VMware.
• Knowledge of storage technologies and networking.
• Understanding of clustering concepts and ability to analyse distributed systems.
