Junior AI Engineer – Credit Underwriting AI Use Cases

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior AI Engineer to join our Global Specialties team, focusing on AI use cases that streamline credit lines and underwriting processes. You will work closely with underwriters, data engineers, and BI teams to turn ideas into practical AI applications using modern Python‑based tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver end‑to‑end AI use cases for underwriting and credit workflows.
• Rapidly prototype proof‑of‑concepts and iterate based on business feedback.
• Implement AI solutions with Python and large language models (LLMs).
• Structure, validate, and transform data for AI pipelines.
• Create simple APIs or services (e.g., FastAPI) to expose AI logic.
• Collaborate with internal Data Lake, BI, and analytics platforms such as Databricks.
• Support testing, validation, and production rollout of AI applications.
• Monitor performance and continuously improve solutions.

Required profile

• 2+ years hands‑on experience with LLMs or modern AI tooling.
• Strong Python background and interest in applied AI/analytics.
• Experience in data processing, validation, and transformation.
• Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Willingness to work closely with underwriters and business users.
• Pragmatic, delivery‑focused mindset with a proactive attitude.
