Expert OpenShift Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Expert OpenShift Platform Engineer to lead the design, operation and evolution of our on‑premise OpenShift environment. You will work closely with development, infrastructure and security teams to ensure a reliable, secure and scalable platform for our applications.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the architecture and strategic direction of the OpenShift platform.
• Operate, monitor and manage OpenShift clusters in an on‑premise setting.
• Resolve the most critical and complex technical issues related to the platform.
• Create resource quotas and guarantee efficient utilization of compute resources.
• Support internal development teams with application deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate platform management processes such as provisioning, updates and scaling.
• Design and implement security measures in line with internal IT standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and development teams.
• Participate actively in an agile (Scrum/Kanban) team, fostering DevOps culture through process improvement and shared ownership of the application lifecycle.
• Maintain technical documentation and propose platform enhancements.

Required skills

• Expert level with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Advanced Linux administration (RHEL/RHCOS).
• Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Bitbucket).
• Intermediate monitoring using Grafana.
• Advanced Helm usage.
• Intermediate experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) – preferred.
• Knowledge of Ansible automation – a plus.
• Familiarity with Git, GitOps principles, RBAC, OAuth, certificates and SSO.
• Required certifications: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (EX200).
