Data Quality Engineer (German-speaking)

About the role

PwC is seeking a hands‑on Data Quality Engineer who will design and build scalable data‑quality capabilities for German‑speaking clients. The role combines client‑facing communication with deep technical work on modern data platforms, ensuring data products are reliable, measurable, and production‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data‑quality frameworks, rules, and tooling tailored to platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Build and maintain data‑quality pipelines, integrating validation, reconciliation, anomaly detection, and rule‑based controls.
• Define quality KPIs/metrics and deliver reporting dashboards for stakeholders.
• Integrate quality signals into CI/CD and delivery processes, providing test evidence and release readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering and client teams to translate quality needs into technical solutions.
• Explore AI/ML‑assisted approaches for profiling, anomaly detection, and intelligent rule suggestions.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery or similar).
• Proven ability to build and maintain pipelines using SQL, Python and/or Spark.
• Experience designing data‑quality rules and using tools such as Great Expectations, Soda, Ataccama or Informatica.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with German‑speaking stakeholders.
