Analytics Engineer

About the role

Swiss Re is seeking an Analytics Engineer to design and build intelligent, scalable data platforms that power document analytics, information retrieval and enterprise knowledge systems. You will work in an Agile, cloud-native environment, collaborating with business and engineering teams to deliver data-driven products that have a tangible impact across the global organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data engineering and analytics solutions that evolve with business needs.
• Build end-to-end applications and services for document analytics and information retrieval, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using modern engineering practices and cutting-edge technologies.
• Contribute to solution architecture, driving continuous improvement and platform reliability across the stack.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into impactful technical solutions.
• Apply Agile, DevOps and CI/CD best practices throughout the full software development lifecycle.

Required skills

• Strong Python programming (Java experience is a plus).
• Hands-on experience designing and building scalable, data-intensive applications.
• Proficiency with SQL, Apache Spark, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines in production.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
