Senior Structural Engineer – Mechanical Systems Design

About the role

Join Schneider Electric's Regional Support Platform in Bratislava as a Structural Senior Engineer II, focusing on mechanical systems design. You will provide complex technical designs, support customers, and guide internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide complex technical designs for customer projects and service teams.
• Drive technical interactions with customers, translate specifications and challenge requirements.
• Supervise a team of Application Design Engineers and manage relationships with internal partners and subcontractors.
• Lead technical risk assessment, progress reporting and variation order identification.
• Design and optimise skids and E‑house solutions from concept to manufacturing detail.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in structural design, including static and dynamic load analysis, steel envelope integration and E‑house design.
• Fluent English (B2/C1); additional languages such as French, Spanish, German or Russian are a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% within the EMEA region and hold a valid driving licence (category B).

Required skills

• SCIA software (intermediate or advanced).
• MS Office and Acrobat.
• 3‑D FEM analysis for transport, lifting and anchoring studies.
• Structural frame design, fixation design and clah study.
• E‑house multi‑storey building design.
