Senior Internal Auditor – Projects

About the role

Lead and execute audits of large international EPC projects, reviewing governance, project controls, cost, schedule and contract management. Partner with project leadership and senior stakeholders to strengthen decision‑making, reduce delivery risk and improve project outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audits of large international EPC projects, assessing governance, cost, schedule and contract performance.
• Identify root causes of delays or overruns, evaluate execution risks and recommend practical improvements.
• Collaborate with Project Directors, Construction Managers and other senior leaders to present clear, business‑focused insights.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives through data‑driven auditing and enhancement of internal control frameworks.
• Contribute to strengthening decision‑making processes and reducing delivery risk across project portfolios.

Required profile

• Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (PMP certification is a plus).
• 7–15 years of experience in EPC or large industrial projects, with expertise in project governance, cost/schedule control, contracts, risk, claims or construction management.
• Strong understanding of the EPC project lifecycle, CAPEX governance and project‑control tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• High integrity, business acumen and a hands‑on, improvement‑driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently in international matrix organisations and travel up to 30%.
