Senior Data Engineer

About the role

We are Pixaera, a team building gamified learning experiences powered by gaming and AI. We are looking for a senior data engineer to own our end‑to‑end data platform and the customer‑facing dashboards that showcase training impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain and improve the data pipeline from Fivetran ingestion through Snowflake warehousing and dbt transformations.
• Develop and ensure accuracy of customer‑facing dashboards and reports that display activity, completion and performance metrics.
• Enable near‑real‑time reporting by optimizing pipelines for reliability, cost and incremental processing.
• Build data products such as APIs, exports and content mappings to support internal and external consumers.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers to embed data considerations into new product features.

Required profile

• Significant professional experience as a data engineer, capable of owning a platform and its outputs independently.
• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Strong analytical skills for business process analysis and data modelling for reporting.
• Self‑motivated and able to thrive in a fully remote environment.

Required skills

• Python and SQL programming.
• Snowflake data warehousing.
• dbt for data transformation.
• Fivetran for data ingestion.
• BI tools such as Omni, Looker or Metabase.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• CI/CD pipelines, testing and code review practices.
• Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Backend languages (Golang, NodeJS) and PostgreSQL.
