Senior Software Engineer – Angular/Node.js (Bratislava)

About the role

The Senior Specialist Software Engineering is part of the BIT Application Development team, responsible for developing, enhancing, testing, and supporting enterprise applications such as Vector, TREQS, and VALET. The role works with modern web technologies, cloud platforms, and established software engineering practices to deliver reliable and secure business solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, and support application features using Angular, Node.js, SQL, AWS and related technologies.
• Build and maintain UI components, APIs, database integrations, and backend services for the Vector, TREQS, and VALET platforms.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and team members to understand requirements and implement solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, apply design patterns, and follow best‑practice development standards.
• Create and execute automated and manual tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot defects, support production issues, and contribute to root‑cause analysis.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, testing, and releases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of software development experience with web applications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
