Lead Architect for Edge Computing (m/f/d)

About the role

Lead Architect for Edge Computing responsible for designing and implementing edge computing technologies within Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia. The role involves delivering high‑quality cloud products, advising internal and external stakeholders, and driving innovation in line with the company’s strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement and support edge computing components and applications.
• Build concepts, processes and methods for automation, optimisation and standardisation.
• Provide technical advice to employees and customers on edge computing solutions.
• Lead architecture services based on the Edge computing platform and mentor junior colleagues.
• Coordinate cross‑team activities, act as technical lead and manage complex 3rd‑level environment tasks.
• Define and implement edge cluster designs, cabling plans and oversee installations across OS, network, middleware and applications.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in Linux system administration and networking.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, DNS, WAN and VPN.
• Experience configuring Linux services such as HTTP, DNS, DHCP and FTP.
• University degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluent English (C1); German is a plus.
• Proven technical project leadership and presentation skills.
