Tire Development Engineer II - TLD Replacement Americas

About the role

Continental, a leading tire manufacturer founded in 1871, is hiring a Tire Development Engineer II for its TLD replacement Americas programme. The role develops new summer and all-weather tire products for Continental, General Tire and private brand portfolios, tailored to the Americas market. It is open only to internal candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new summer and all-weather tire products for the Americas segment, owning the product development lifecycle from concept to market introduction
• Ensure quality assurance and performance optimisation of existing product lines through continuous monitoring
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications and presentations for new products
• Lead market launch initiatives and coordinate product introduction strategies across the Americas
• Identify and implement quality improvements and process enhancements in manufacturing lines
• Oversee testing protocols, including test execution, data analysis and evaluation of results
• Drive value creation and efficiency initiatives across assigned product portfolios
• Lead cross-functional project teams, manage project timelines and coordinate with global R&D and manufacturing facilities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering or materials science
• English proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication
• Product development or tire engineering experience
• Project management or technical leadership experience
• Experience coordinating with manufacturing or production facilities
• Analytical, problem-solving and innovative mindset, able to work in international teams
