About the role

We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to lead freight and transportation management across Europe. The role focuses on optimizing the flow of goods, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement within the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate 3PL/4PL providers and manage transportation activities to ensure efficient movement of goods.
• Oversee inventory management to reduce excess stock and carrying costs.
• Analyze and improve supply‑chain processes, implementing standardized procedures for operational excellence.
• Identify and mitigate logistics risks, including transport faults and vendor delivery issues.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as IATF 16949, ISO, VDA and AIAG, and conduct internal audits.
• Collect, analyze, and report cost data to support budgeting, forecasting and invoice approval.
• Run competitive bids, tendering and business reviews to select and contract external logistics providers.
• Monitor 4PL control‑tower performance using TMS and KPI dashboards, performing network analysis for ongoing optimization.
• Prepare formal quotations and manage trade‑compliance, including customs regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply‑chain management, logistics, business administration or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in logistics, transportation or supply‑chain management, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with logistics and supply‑chain management software.
• Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Ability to work with KPI dashboards for performance monitoring.
• Competence in ERP systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
