Software Engineering Manager – Digital Solutions

About the role

As a Software Engineering Manager at Cat Digital's Slovakian branch, you will lead a talented team of engineers delivering innovative digital solutions. You will oversee the design, development, and implementation of complex solutions, provide technical support and direction, and coordinate with Slovakia‑based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a talented team of engineers delivering innovative digital solutions.
• Oversee design, development, and implementation of complex solutions.
• Provide technical support and direction to teams and team leaders.
• Acquire resources necessary to accomplish work on time.
• Oversee performance of individual team members and the team as a whole.
• Identify and address staff training and development needs.
• Coordinate walkthroughs and reviews, ensuring conformance to standards and adherence to design specifications.

Required profile

• Knowledge of major products and services and ability to apply them appropriately.
• Understanding of leadership concepts and ability to enlist others in achieving objectives.
• Proficiency with software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products in line with requirements.
• Familiarity with the software development life‑cycle and structured delivery methodologies.
• Capability to convert market requirements into software product design and architecture.
• Formal education in Computer Science, Technology Management, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Solid experience in software engineering and hands‑on software development team management.
• Proven experience leading software development projects.
• Technical expertise in software development, architecture, and design.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Azure cloud platforms.
• Generative AI principles and product implementation.
• Agile methodologies and related tools.
• Software development, architecture, and design expertise.
