Senior Payroll Specialist – MEA Region

About the role

Join Johnson Controls' international payroll team as a Senior Payroll Specialist for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. You will own monthly payroll activities, resolve queries, support reporting and audits, and contribute to regional payroll projects.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly payroll cycles across assigned MEA countries, ensuring compliance with local calendars and processes.
• Collect, review and validate payroll inputs such as overtime, bonuses, allowances, absences, hires, terminations and transfers.
• Perform payroll checks, investigate variances and resolve issues before payroll sign‑off.
• Partner with HR, Finance, local stakeholders and payroll partners to address payroll‑related queries.
• Support payroll reporting, audits, controls and documentation throughout the year.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and contribute to process improvements, system changes and regional projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of experience in payroll administration or processing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with payroll data.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
• Confident written and spoken English.
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an international team.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including lookups, pivot tables and basic formulas.
