Senior DevOps Engineer – Oracle Platform

About the role

Erste Digital is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Oracle expertise to improve the reliability, automation and evolution of its enterprise database platform. The role blends DevOps, platform engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) across mission‑critical production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain automation for Oracle platform operations using Terraform, Ansible, Python and Bash.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and self‑service tooling for platform services.
• Drive platform engineering practices, establishing reusable automation and standardized processes.
• Support highly available Oracle environments (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN) including performance troubleshooting, patching and upgrades.
• Strengthen resiliency through disaster‑recovery validation, capacity planning and SLA/SLO improvements.
• Enhance observability with Grafana, Oracle Enterprise Manager and automated alerting.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement of runbooks.
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to roadmaps for platform modernization.

Required profile

• Strong recent professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform and Ansible.
• Practical understanding of Oracle database operations (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, performance tuning).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and self‑service platforms.
• Fluent English and ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
