Senior DevOps Engineer – Oracle Platform

About the role

Erste Digital is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep Oracle expertise to enhance the reliability, automation, and evolution of its enterprise database platform. The role blends DevOps, platform engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to support mission‑critical production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain automation for Oracle platform operations using Terraform, Ansible, Python and Bash.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and self‑service tooling for platform services.
• Drive platform engineering and DevOps practices, establishing reusable automation and standardized processes.
• Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support highly available Oracle environments (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN) including performance tuning, patching, upgrades and recovery.
• Strengthen platform resiliency through disaster‑recovery validation, capacity planning and SLA/SLO improvements.
• Enhance observability with Grafana, Oracle Enterprise Manager and automated alerting.
• Provide technical guidance, contribute to roadmaps and promote knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Strong recent professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering and SRE.
• Deep expertise with Oracle database technologies (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN).
• Proven ability to automate infrastructure and operations at scale.
• Experience leading incident response and driving continuous improvement.
