Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f)

About the role

PwC's Advanced Technology Solutions team in Bratislava is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to build, run and scale modern cloud, data and AI platforms for international clients. As the sole dedicated DevOps engineer on the project, you will work closely with developers, QA and other engineers, and collaborate with broader DevOps groups. The role supports the buildout of a new analytics and automation platform that replaces legacy workflow-based data processing tools, combining a desktop-first workflow approach with cloud-native backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate infrastructure for a greenfield analytics and automation platform
• Own and support production Kubernetes environments, including deployment, workload operations, troubleshooting and reliability
• Set up and maintain deployment patterns with Helm, Kustomize and GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, release workflows and deployment automation across the SDLC
• Configure Ingress, TLS, DNS and basic NetworkPolicies
• Maintain Kubernetes security basics including RBAC, secrets handling and pod security
• Implement observability with monitoring and logging (Prometheus / Grafana or Datadog)
• Provision clusters and cloud resources with Terraform, OpenTofu or similar IaC tools
• Work with container registries, VPC / VNet networking, secret stores and workload identity / IAM

Required profile

• Strong hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering or cloud infrastructure
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of platform setup and DevOps direction on a project
• Good written and spoken English

Required skills

• Production Kubernetes, including AKS, EKS or GKE
• Helm, Kustomize and GitOps (Argo CD or Flux)
• Terraform, OpenTofu or similar IaC
• Monitoring and logging in Kubernetes environments
