Senior Accountant RTR

About the role

Clarios is looking for a Senior Accountant RTR to join its finance team in Bratislava. You will be responsible for month‑end closing, balance‑sheet accuracy and supporting finance automation initiatives while working a US‑time shift.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and oversee month‑end closing activities, accruals, account reconciliations and related accounting tasks for assigned entities.
• Review automated journal entries and system‑generated reconciliations, using Power BI and OneStream to monitor variances and trends.
• Support finance automation projects, test digital solutions and validate AI‑supported outputs such as Microsoft Copilot.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls, internal policies and audit requirements, and provide clear explanations of financial results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• At least five years of experience in Accounting, Record‑to‑Report or Shared Services.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and/or GAAP principles.
• Advanced written and spoken English (C1 level) and ability to work 25% US time (13:30‑22:00).
• Proactive attitude toward process improvement and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Practical experience with SAP (S/4HANA is a plus).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of Power BI, OneStream or comparable financial reporting tools.
• Familiarity with AI‑supported tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
