Security Monitoring Operator – Cybersecurity Analyst (Entry Level)

About the role

Join a fast‑growing Threat Analysis & Services team as a Security Monitoring Operator. This position is ideal for candidates eager to launch a career in cybersecurity and work in a global 24/7 Managed Detection and Response (MDR) centre.

Key responsibilities

• Operate shift‑based monitoring in a 24/7 MDR environment under senior guidance.
• Use EDR, XDR, SIEM and SOAR platforms to detect, investigate and mitigate threats.
• Document adversary activity, produce incident reports and escalate when required.
• Analyse client data to uncover vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Participate in threat‑hunting, intelligence gathering and proactive security activities.
• Assist in creating and tuning low‑level detection rules for EDR, XDR and SIEM tools.
• Contribute to the refinement of MDR toolsets, incident‑response playbooks and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Strong interest in cybersecurity and willingness to work 24/7 shift schedules.
• Fundamental understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IP, ports, protocols, MAC).
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency (B2) or higher.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and patience for large data volumes.

Required skills

• Experience or familiarity with security monitoring solutions such as SIEM or SOAR (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Elasticsearch, ArcSight).
• Basic scripting abilities (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua).
• Understanding of EDR/XDR concepts and ability to work with related tools.
• Knowledge of incident response processes and forensic analysis is a plus.
• Participation in CTFs or cybersecurity competitions is advantageous.
