Product and Technology Lead

About the role

Haleon, a consumer health company, is looking for a Product and Technology Lead. You will act as the scientific and technical expert for designated product categories, linking R&D and manufacturing and serving as the site technical representative for global innovation projects. You will lead a team of Product and Process Engineers and Packaging Engineers, drive the transfer of innovation projects to the site, support product scale-up and provide technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and motivate a team of Product and Process Engineers and Packaging Engineers supporting Product Lifecycle Management on site.
• Serve as the site technical expert and main contact for specific product categories, giving scientific and technical guidance across the product lifecycle.
• Partner with R&D, NPI, Global and Regional teams to transfer innovation projects from development to commercial manufacturing.
• Support manufacturing operations with expert guidance on product challenges, process deviations and technical investigations to ensure product quality and continuity.
• Drive product scale-up and oversee process validation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate standards and industry best practice.
• Lead investigation, deviation and CAPA activities and coach the team to improve problem-solving.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on best practices, audits and regulatory inspections, and use performance management and development planning to build team capability.

Required profile

• Preferred: strong background in product development, process development, manufacturing technology, scale-up or technology transfer, and experience supporting NPI projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: previous leadership or people management experience.
• Preferred: experience in FMCG, pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare, chemicals or a similar highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in product development, process development, technology transfer or scale-up is essential.
• Strong English communication is essential; Slovak is desirable.

• Strong scientific or engineering background and excellent understanding of manufacturing processes, product development and process optimisation.
• Ability to evaluate technical risks and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience leading technical investigations and solving complex manufacturing challenges.
• Stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration and the ability to work with global and regional teams.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making and attention to detail.
