Plant Controller

About the role

An experienced Finance Controller to steer the financial performance of the Senec manufacturing plant. The role is responsible for financial planning, industrial cost controlling, statutory reporting, and business partnering with the Plant Director and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full budget cycle for the Senec plant, including preparation, consolidation and monthly tracking.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) in line with Group standards and ensure timely closing of accounts.
• Develop and monitor financial KPIs, dashboards and variance analyses to support decision‑making.
• Oversee industrial cost accounting, analyse production variances, scrap and absorption rates and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain and Engineering on CAPEX planning, project profitability and inventory valuation.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Plant Director and department heads, and lead monthly performance review meetings.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, Group accounting policies, IFRS/local GAAP and maintain internal control procedures.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and manage tax reporting obligations.
• Lead and develop the local finance team and drive continuous improvement of finance processes and ERP/reporting tools.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or Business Administration; professional qualification (CPA/CMA/CIMA) is an asset.
• Minimum 5 years of financial controlling experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong background in cost accounting, industrial KPIs and budget management.
• Experience working in a production environment and within an international or matrix organisation.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS/local GAAP and standard costing methodologies.
• Fluent in English and Slovak, both written and spoken.
