Planner – Production & Material Planning

About the role

We are looking for a Planner to lead production and material planning activities, ensuring that customer demand is met while respecting capacity and material constraints. The role bridges demand, supply and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable schedules and support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans based on customer demand, MPS, SIOP and available capacity.
• Analyze inventory, open orders, supplier lead times and production capacity to identify bottlenecks and shortages.
• Create and maintain planned orders and production requirements in the ERP/planning system.
• Balance customer priorities, production capacity, inventory targets and material availability.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to secure critical materials and with Production to validate capacity.
• Monitor planning exceptions, take corrective actions and support recovery plans for delayed materials or capacity constraints.
• Maintain accurate planning parameters such as lead times, lot sizes, safety stock and calendars.
• Participate in SIOP, MPS and regular supply‑production review meetings, escalating critical constraints when needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production planning, material planning or related supply‑chain roles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• MRP, MPS and SIOP concepts.
• Capacity planning and inventory management.
• ERP/MRP systems (Oracle experience is a plus).
• Advanced planning or APS tools (preferred).
• Microsoft Excel.
