Operations Manager – Production Plant

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the production area of the Nove Mesto plant, ensuring safe, stable and disciplined daily execution. You will translate plant priorities into clear routines, drive performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations, set priorities, facilitate Tier meetings and drive performance across shifts and production lines.
• Ensure execution of the production plan, meet customer commitments and maintain capacity requirements.
• Maintain an active Gemba presence, remove operational barriers and support rapid problem‑solving.
• Guarantee compliance with occupational health, safety and EHS standards.
• Strengthen shop‑floor discipline, 5S, visual management and standardized work.
• Promote safety initiatives such as Good Catch and Near‑Miss reporting.
• Drive quality improvements through Quality at Source, FPY, RTY and defect reduction.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Manage delivery performance, schedule adherence and lead‑time improvement.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Warehouse and Logistics to ensure material readiness.
• Develop and execute recovery plans for performance or delivery risks.
• Oversee productivity, cost performance, labor efficiency and capacity readiness.
• Plan workforce, production ramp‑up activities and capacity optimisation.
• Identify and lead continuous‑improvement projects with measurable business impact.

Required profile

• II‑level university degree or equivalent.
• English proficiency at minimum B2 level.
• Strong leadership, accountability and problem‑solving mindset.
• Experience working on a shop floor in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• LEAN methodology.
• ERP system usage.
