Network Security Software Engineer (C++)

About the role

Join ESET’s Network Features team to develop cutting‑edge network protection technologies. You will work on firewalls, protocol scanning and AI‑assisted security components that protect billions of devices worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain C++ components for network protection.
• Develop internal tools for analysing collected network data.
• Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies.
• Own analytical tasks linked to your applications.
• Collaborate with multiple development teams, product management and stakeholders across the company.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional C++ development experience.
• Strong knowledge of multithreading, memory management, debugging and performance optimisation.
• Practical understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS and TLS.
• Interest in networking, security and cloud technologies.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools.
• Intermediate English (B1) or higher.
• Analytical, systematic thinking and willingness to learn.
