Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Kanadevia Inova you will own and deliver complete mechanical design packages for waste‑to‑X systems, turning waste into valuable energy, heat, hydrogen and fertilizer.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver mechanical design packages for assigned systems, including 3D models, drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs meet project requirements, schedules, quality standards and company engineering guidelines.
• Collaborate with layout planning, procurement and suppliers to support equipment sourcing, technical evaluations and contract execution.
• Oversee supplier manufacturing progress, conduct quality inspections and provide assembly and operational documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement, maintain product standards and design manuals, support product development and share engineering knowledge.

Required profile

• Mechanical Design Engineer qualification with 4+ years of experience; Technician/Bachelor degree is an advantage.
• Experience in project engineering, supplier management and procurement of technical equipment in an international environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to lead technical discussions and develop engineering standards and specifications.
• Good knowledge of mechanical design, sheet‑metal and welded structures, materials, manufacturing processes, strength calculations and FEM analysis.
• Fluent English; knowledge of machinery directives, occupational safety regulations and plant/apparatus engineering is a plus.
