Mechanical CAD Design Engineer – Thermal Management

About the role

Vertiv is seeking a Mechanical CAD Design Engineer to join the Thermal Management mechanical design team in Nové Mesto nad Váhom. You will focus on floor‑mount and chiller products, designing new solutions and re‑engineering existing ones with an emphasis on sheet‑metal and piping components.

Key responsibilities

• Design new products or redesign existing ones, concentrating on mechanical aspects such as sheet metal and piping.
• Collaborate with suppliers, Procurement, and Industrial Engineering while incorporating product marketing inputs.
• Create and review product documentation, including CAD drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
• Use the PLM system to manage items, revisions, and product data.
• Achieve cost, quality, environmental, and schedule targets, balancing market and internal customer needs.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues, improve mechanical drawings, simplify assembly, reduce costs, and enhance quality.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing or engineering.
• Intermediate level English proficiency.
• Ability to read technical documentation and work independently.
• Strong teamwork and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CREO, Solid Edge, Pro‑Engineer or other CAD systems.
• Mechanical design experience, especially sheet‑metal and piping.
