Materials Management Employee – Supply Chain Operations

About the role

As a Materials Management Employee you will ensure that the right materials are available at the right time to support smooth production operations. You will work closely with customers, internal logistics, production and planning teams to coordinate supply processes and maintain high delivery performance.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, validate and process incoming customer orders (call‑offs) using customer portals.
• Support production planning with feasibility checks and organize transport according to customer instructions.
• Create and maintain master data for sold materials in SAP.
• Monitor delivery performance (OTIF) and ensure compliance with logistics KPIs.
• Handle customer complaints, escalations and urgent order recovery plans.
• Coordinate with internal departments (logistics, production, planning, quality) for order fulfillment.
• Support EDI processes and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Track stock levels, optimize inventory (safety stock, consignment) and prepare performance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, logistics or supply chain functions.
• Proven experience in project management, lean management and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical mindset with results‑oriented problem‑solving skills.
• Good knowledge of safety, quality, delivery and production readiness processes.
