Layout Engineer – Waste-to-Energy Projects

About the role

Kanadevia Inova, a global player in waste infrastructure and waste-to-X technology, is hiring a Layout Engineer in Bratislava. The role covers project documentation, supplier coordination and the design of piping and equipment systems, with support for the site team during erection and installation.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in project meetings and provide data and specifications on time for team members.
• Manage RFQ/PO documentation and oversee selected suppliers' obligations.
• Collaborate with System Engineers, Process Engineers and other planners.
• Develop systems within budget, read P&ID diagrams and integrate them into E3D.
• Prepare technical specifications (BOQ, pipe lists, valve lists, isometric drawings) and check supplier documentation.
• Support the site team during erection and installation while following HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Energy or EfW sectors with relevant system knowledge (piping, equipment, steel structures, civil).
• Ability to develop and optimise systems independently, with a strong understanding of P&ID diagrams.
• Fluent English and Slovak (at least B2); other languages are an advantage.
• Strong MS Office skills, decision-making, problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Hands-on, able to work under pressure, with integrative thinking and intercultural competence.

Required skills

• E3D or similar 3D-CAD software (AutoCAD 3D, SmartPlant)
• P&ID reading and isometric drawing preparation

• Indefinite employment contract with a basic gross wage of 2,000 EUR per month (higher depending on level, skills and experience).
