Key Account Manager – Modern Trade (Tesco)

About the role

As a Key Account Manager for Modern Trade (Tesco), you will drive sustainable growth in the Slovak FMCG market by building strong relationships with key retail customers and delivering customer‑focused strategies. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial plans.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement customer strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
• Lead commercial negotiations on sales targets, trade investments, and promotional plans.
• Drive profitable growth through effective account and category management.
• Ensure successful execution of product listings, pricing, and promotional activities.
• Manage customer budgets and contribute to sales and profit targets.
• Coordinate key account activities across CZ/SK with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure smooth execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Key Account Management, Trade Marketing, or Sales within FMCG.
• Strong negotiation, relationship‑building, and presentation skills.
• Fluent in Slovak and advanced English.
• Analytical, results‑driven mindset with proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
