Junior Accountant with German (m/f)

About the role

Join PwC Tax k.s. in Bratislava as a Junior Accountant supporting German‑speaking clients. This full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in accounting and finance operations within an international environment, with a focus on learning, structured processes and gradual responsibility growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist day‑to‑day accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and procure‑to‑pay processes.
• Process and review invoices, payments and open items, and support bank postings and payroll‑related entries.
• Participate in month‑end closing activities under supervision and perform reconciliations.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and German‑speaking clients via email and calls.
• Follow up on open items, resolve issues and contribute to international project teams.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
• German language proficiency at C1 level (spoken and written).
• Good command of English.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and strong attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting systems.
• Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot and Power BI.
