Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and shape the safety culture across our Slovak operations. You will be responsible for all EHS, fire prevention and sustainability initiatives, influencing senior stakeholders and protecting the wellbeing of more than 1,200 employees.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain EHS policies, procedures and programs.
• Drive a strong safety culture through training, coaching and employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with Slovak, European and corporate EHS regulations.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee environmental programs such as waste management, emissions monitoring and regulatory reporting.
• Manage internal and external audits and maintain inspection readiness.
• Support occupational health, ergonomic improvements and industrial hygiene initiatives.
• Lead sustainability and ESG projects, including energy‑efficiency and environmental improvement programmes.
• Collaborate with leadership, regulatory authorities and external partners.
• Control EHS budgets, performance metrics and strategic improvement projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, Industrial or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of EHS management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Fluent Slovak and professional English communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with EHS management systems and reporting tools.
