Engineer II – Research and Development (Infusion Care)

About the role

Join Convatec’s new R&D team at the Technology Development Center in Slovakia as an Engineer II focused on Infusion Care. You will contribute to the introduction of new medical products and manage their life‑cycle, working in a collaborative, high‑performing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and launch new Infusion Care products that improve patient outcomes.
• Support the transition of new products into manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design assembly and packaging processes for new or modified devices.
• Implement design changes to existing products to enhance quality, performance and sustainability.
• Analyse technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Present ideas and improvements to the team and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Team‑player with a proactive attitude toward learning and development.
• Strong logical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Trustworthy and able to work independently when needed.

Required skills

• Knowledge of injection molding processes (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience with plastic component assembly.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD for parts and assemblies, including simulation.
• Ability to produce 2D documentation.
