Electrical System Engineer

About the role

Vertiv is seeking an Electrical System Engineer to join its engineering team and drive the design of outdoor enclosure solutions for telecom and data‑center applications. You will work across cross‑functional groups to deliver reliable, high‑quality electrical systems from concept through production.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for outdoor enclosures, including DC power, climate control, battery backup and related accessories.
• Create schematics, circuit diagrams and complete technical documentation.
• Design AC and DC cabling, control harnesses and generate Bills of Materials, specifications and test instructions.
• Select, size and specify components to meet functional and regulatory requirements.
• Manage design changes, reviews and approvals within the PLM system.
• Participate in prototype builds, functional testing, verification activities and factory acceptance testing (FAT).
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing and assist with technical problem‑solving.
• Attend cross‑functional design reviews and visit customers or suppliers as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience designing electrical systems for outdoor, industrial, telecom or data‑center environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and grow professionally.
